Real-time process data overview
Our customer is one of the leading manufacturers of injection molding machines. These machines are essential in the manufacturing process of plastics and plastic parts, so they have to be running on a high performance level all the time. To be sure of that, our client has a service team that gathers logs, reports and other data from each machine individually and plugs it through an external memory device in the service management system.
This process is time-consuming for the service workers, but also extremely difficult due to the huge amount of data. Furthermore, the collected data stems from different types of machines, which put out different data formats (PDFs, text, etc.), making it strenuous to process. Therefore, the true challenges were the lack of automation, the overwhelming data volumes and inability to process them.
To automate the machine servicing process, our goal was to enhance our customer's operational efficiency and refine its business metrics.
We created a service portal that seamlessly integrates with all the different types of machines. It gathers machine data in all needed formats and compiles it in one place.
All employees can now visualize the data, regardless of whether they have a technical background or not. With the service tool, they can search by all types of variables—entry date of the machine, performance, time frames and more!
